North Grafton, officially part of the Town of Grafton, Massachusetts, traces its beginnings to the establishment of a grist mill ca. 1720 on the Quinsigamond River. The land was purchased from the Native Americans of Hassanamesit Village later that decade, along with the rest of modern-day Grafton.
